Tiger's Eye – Shield of light and inner strength
1. History & Origins
Tiger's Eye gets its name from its visual resemblance to the feline's tawny eye, a moving and intense reflection, with shimmering golden tones.
Since ancient times, it has been used as a stone of protection, anchoring and courage, both in the East and the West.
Among the Romans, soldiers wore tiger's eye as a talisman to protect themselves during battles.
In India, it was used to ward off the evil eye and black magic.
In Egypt, it was associated with the sun and clairvoyance, believed to unite the vision of heaven and the strength of the earth.
It is an extremely popular semi-precious stone in all spiritual and esoteric traditions, for its properties of psychic protection, return to oneself and mental clarity.
