1. History & Origin

Blue opal is a variety of opal known as common or noble, depending on whether or not it exhibits internal play of light (opalescence). Its milky blue to light blue, sometimes turquoise or slightly gray, color evokes tranquil lagoons, soft skies at sunrise, or the calm depths of the soul.

Known since ancient times for its emotional softness and aquatic vibration, it is particularly appreciated in Peru, where it is perceived as a stone of sacred communication, inner peace and intuitive connection.
