1. History & Origin
Sodalite is a blue semiprecious stone, dotted with white or creamy veins, sometimes slightly purple. It gets its name from the sodium it contains, and was discovered in the 19th century. It has since been recognized as the stone of clear thinking, true speech, and inner alignment.
Often confused with lapis lazuli, sodalite is softer visually, but just as powerful mentally and emotionally, bringing clarity, serenity and depth.
Its main deposits are located in Brazil, Canada, Russia, France, Namibia and Afghanistan.
